Original Item” Only One Available. A Vintage 1930's Police lamp known as “The Wootton Lantern”. It was invented by George WOOTTON, Assistant (Chief) Engineer of the Metropolitan Police. It is a 4 volt electric lamp accumulator which came into use in 1920. This version must be circa 1939 because it has the button on the side for morse code. Used by officers at Cannon Row Police station between 1924 and 1946. This one in very good condition. Complete with spare bulb in hidden compartment.
